As an Associate Financial Institutions Sponsor Coverage professional based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team's efforts to expand business with global Financial Sponsors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior colleagues on client relationship management initiatives while executing fund-level financing opportunities. You will engage deeply with various product teams such as Fund Finance, Project Finance, FX & Rates to originate new business transactions. By producing detailed relationship overviews and account plans for key clients, you will help shape strategic approaches that drive value for both clients and the organisation. Your involvement in reviewing transaction documentation ensures accuracy in client communications while your ability to understand evolving client needs enables you to support innovative product solutions. Through regular collaboration with internal stakeholders like Credit, Legal, KYC, and Operations teams, you will help secure complex multi-jurisdictional relationships. Conducting market research allows you to identify emerging trends that inform strategic decisions. Building strong networks across departments fosters effective teamwork while leading internal meetings demonstrates your analytical capabilities. Staying abreast of regulatory changes ensures compliance within this dynamic sector.

What you bring:

  • Solid commercial experience in FIG sponsor coverage fund finance or investment banking/global markets is essential; exposure to Financial Sponsors/Funds or Non-bank Financial Institutions is highly desirable.

  • A keen interest in the alternative asset management sector coupled with familiarity with related products enhances your suitability for this role.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to thrive in a diverse team environment where collaboration is key.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is required for preparing presentations and analysing data effectively.

  • Knowledge of fund-level products such as Subscription Facilities, Sponsor FX, NAV lending is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.

  • Detail-oriented approach combined with strong organisational skills allows you to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics (or equivalent qualifications/experience) is essential; CFA qualification is considered advantageous.

  • Results-driven mindset paired with accountability ensures timely completion of tasks aligned with organisational goals.

  • Outstanding communication abilities facilitate clear interactions both internally among peers and externally with clients.

  • Calm demeanour helps you perform well under pressure while maintaining accuracy during periods of high workload.
