Role overview:
FRP Advisory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director/Director of Corporate Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special situations mergers and acquisitions (SSM&A), with extensive experience in a professional services environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing complex transactions and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Lead and manage SSM&A transactions from inception to completion on both the buy-side and sell-side
- Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations to clients.
- Negotiate terms and structure deals to maximize value for clients.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges for clients facing financial difficulties.
- Assess and analyse distressed companies to identify potential opportunities.
- Coordinate with legal and financial advisors to manage insolvency proceedings.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Provide high-quality, tailored advice and support throughout the transaction process.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm’s client base.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support on complex transactions and client engagements.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Strategic and Operational Focus:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the corporate finance practice.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services in line with the firm’s standards and client expectations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, with a focus on SSM&A.
- Proven track record of managing complex transactions and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Significant experience in a professional services firm is essential.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
