Wall Street Prep (WSP) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing London-based finance team.
As a global provider of financial training, we partner with leading investment banks, private equity firms, corporations, and academic institutions to deliver practical, hands-on training programmes worldwide.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day operation of the purchase and sales ledgers across the Group and assist with month-end close and management accounting activities. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for an AAT Level 4 qualified (or qualified by experience) finance professional looking to develop within a dynamic, multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase & Sales Ledger- Manage the central finance inbox and respond to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Post purchase invoices across multiple entities and currencies.
- Maintain and administer the Group purchase order system.
- Review and post sales invoices generated from the CRM system, liaising with the Client Management team where required.
- Perform weekly credit card and bank reconciliations across sterling and foreign currency accounts.
- Post monthly employee expenses.
- Reconcile supplier accounts on a monthly basis and resolve supplier queries.
- Prepare and process the weekly payment run.
- Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliation schedules.
- Support month-end close activities, including:
- Accruals and prepayments
- Stock balance updates
- Debtor and creditor ledger reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Post general journals and month-end adjustments.
- Assist the Financial Controller and wider finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across Operations, Sales and other departments, as well as external suppliers and partners.
- AAT Level 4 qualified (or qualified by experience).
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience within a finance function (general ledger environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, management accounting principles and financial statements.
- Intermediate Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel and Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines during busy reporting periods.
- Experience supporting month-end close processes.
- Working knowledge of UK VAT, including reverse charge.
- Experience with foreign currency transactions and intercompany accounting across global entities.
- Experience using NetSuite and/or Salesforce.
- Experience working within a multi-entity group structure.
