At Q, we’re looking for people who share that vision. People like you.

The opportunity.

The Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring success throughout the group order-to-cash cycle. Beyond transactional work, this role provides opportunities for financial analysis, insight generation, and cross-functional collaboration across teams within the business.

Month-End Close & Revenue Postings

  • Support across the month end close process, including journal posting, balance sheet reconciliation and liaising with Operational and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of finance processes and controls by supporting the wider department drive to automate.
  • Spot trends, recurring issues or control gaps and propose improvements.

Order to Cash Cycle

  • Ensure billing is compliant with internal controls and accounting policies, maintaining high-quality documentation.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations and Delivery teams to enable proactive billing procedures.
  • Manage shared finance inboxes, responding promptly and professionally to queries.
  • Support the enablement of AI and automation across Order to Cash processes.

Financial Analysis & Other Reporting

  • Perform monthly customer level P&L analysis, investigating and documenting key movements, trends and variances.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Prepare audit evidence and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that any differences are fully explained and (where necessary) corrected.
  • Support the Revenue Controller with ad‑hoc analysis, reporting and project work.

Requirements

What you’ll bring.

  • A background in finance, ideally gained in a similar management accounting, assistant accountant role.
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or have equivalent experience.
  • A solid understanding of accounts receivable processes, revenue recognition, and the rhythm of the month-end close.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and international operations is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills are a must; familiarity with ERP systems (like NetSuite or Salesforce) and automation tools is highly desirable.
  • You have an analytical mindset and a knack for turning data into actionable insights.
  • An excellent communicator who is comfortable partnering with global teams.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and are excited by the prospect of using AI to make finance smarter.
