Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

We're building our own in-house content and creative team. Unlike most companies, it won't sit inside marketing as another growth channel; it runs as its own function with one objective: to make Fuse, and the abundant future we're building, impossible to ignore. As an Art Director, you own the creative and visual vision for our campaigns and shoots. This is the idea role: you own the insight and concept for our big moments (brand campaigns, launches, films, testimonials) and the whole visual world each one lives in, partnering with the creative producer who coordinates and delivers while you stay on the creative.

Responsibilities
  • Own the insight, concept and visual vision for campaigns, shoots and produced content, working with the head of content, product and design
  • Direct the shoot creatively: cast and select talent, find and brief influencers, and decide the look, props and set
  • Own customer interviews and testimonials end to end, from casting to concept
  • Coordinate with product and operations on big launches (a new country, a hardware drop) so the campaign matches the moment
  • Brief the social strategists so their creators and editors have what they need to shoot content around the campaign
  • Carry every concept from first idea to final frame, with the producer coordinating delivery

Requirements
  • Concepts and storytelling: a proven track record of sharp ideas, able to hold the whole creative world of a campaign in your head from the big thought down to the details, and execute it
  • Taste: a strong visual eye that knows great from good, with everything you touch looking considered and distinct
  • 3+ years of experience as an Art Director, with the range to run everything from casting to the final cut or shoot

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
  • Biannual bonus scheme
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
  • Private health insurance
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

As we hire globally, benefits vary by location.
