About the Marketing Analytics Team
Our mission is to empower Ancestry’s international growth by transforming data into actionable insights that optimise marketing performance, pricing strategy, and customer experience.

About the role

As the Analytics Manager at Ancestry, you will be a key player in telling data-driven stories that drive the company's international expansion goals. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Analytics, you will act as a key partner to senior leadership, shaping high-impact decisions through robust analysis of customer behavior, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities. You will focus on storytelling as opposed to data enablement.

You will be responsible for generating actionable insights across competitor intelligence, category trends, (Pre-test & post-test analysis) pricing strategies, and marketing campaign  journeys. You will also support annual planning cycles and long-term growth strategies, ensuring the marketing organization is equipped to make decisions that accelerate performance and customer impact.

To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing analytics, strategic insights, or business strategy, with at least 2 years in a senior role. A proactive mindset towards change and a dedication to innovation are essential qualities. Deep expertise in market dynamics, competitor analysis, and understanding customer behavior will be critical to your success.

Candidates from Ireland and the UK are encouraged to apply, but must be willing to attend the office (Dublin/ Central London) for in-person collaboration once a week.

What you will do

  • Lead Strategic Insights: Own and evolve the strategic insights roadmap to support leadership decision-making.

  • Customer Journey Analysis: Analyze user journeys to identify friction points and recommend improvements to boost acquisition through marketing campaigns and media.

  • Pricing Test & Learn Analysis: Conduct strategic pricing analyses to measure elasticity, test promotional tactics, and shape monetization strategy.

  • Emerging Markets Strategy: Provide analytics support for test-and-learn in emerging markets; build KPI frameworks and early-stage tracking.

  • Collaboration: You will work closely with Analytics, Consumer Insights, Finance, and Compliance teams, as well as supporting broader international analytics team on campaign performance, media efficiency, and business reporting.

Who you are

  • You have 6+ years in marketing analytics, strategic insights, or business strategy, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity.

  • You have advanced analytics proficiency with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, SQL, or similar platforms.

  • You have a strong grasp of marketing KPIs, attribution modeling, and customer segmentation.

  • You have a proven ability to synthesize data into strategic, commercially relevant insights.

  • You have strong business acumen with experience aligning analytics to company goals.

  • Experience in a subscription business or with international market dynamics is a strong benefit.

This is a full-time permanent position. We offer a competitive compensation package with full benefits including flexible working, annual bonus, company stock, health and dental insurance, pension and 25 days paid time off plus Christmas off. We have offices in Dublin and central London, but our working location policy is fully flexible.

Our recruitment process includes a phone-screen with our Recruiter and 3 stages of interview.
