Job Title: Analytics Manager – Telematics

Location: Bexhill/Leicester/London/– Hybrid

Role purpose

This role plays a key part in shaping the profitability and growth of our telematics products. You will blend underwriting insight with commercial performance analysis to inform pricing, trading strategy, and long-term portfolio profitability. You will be part of a high-performing analytics team, working closely with underwriting, pricing, and claims teams, with exposure to senior stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Own analysis of telematics product profitability, including loss ratio development and performance trends

  • Develop insights on claims trends and inflation, working closely with claims teams

  • Support pricing and trading strategy through data-led recommendations including adjustments in pricing to support profit goals

  • Present clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders

  • Conduct deep-dive and ad hoc analysis to test hypotheses and inform decisions

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team development

Skills Knowledge & Experience:

Technical skills:

  • Strong analytical capability with experience handling complex datasets

  • Experience with SQL, Python or similar data tools

  • Understanding of insurance metrics (e.g. loss ratios, profitability and commercial)

Business & communication:

  • Able to translate data into clear, actionable business insights

  • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills

  • Confident influencing and challenging stakeholders

Personal attributes:

  • Detail-oriented with high standards for data quality

  • Proactive, curious, and driven to improve performance

  • Collaborative and team-oriented
