As an Analyst at JPMorganChase within our Alternative Investments team, you will support Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight for our alternative investment funds and help enhance the control environment around valuations. You will collaborate across operations, finance, and fund service partners, and you will take ownership of improvements that make processes more scalable, transparent, and efficient.
Job responsibilities
- Perform Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight activities for a range of alternative investment funds, including review of valuation inputs and supporting documentation
- Coordinate the collation, validation, and review of valuation data from internal and external stakeholders to support timely NAV production
- Investigate and resolve valuation and pricing exceptions, escalating issues and documenting outcomes in line with governance expectations
- Support the execution of periodic valuation controls, reconciliations, and reasonability checks to strengthen data quality and risk management
- Produce and maintain oversight reporting and operational metrics for stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and key drivers
- Own a project to design and deliver a self-service solution that automates the collation and review of valuation data for alternative investment funds
- Define requirements, manage timelines, and partner with technology and business teams to implement process improvements from design through rollout
- Maintain clear process documentation, including procedures, controls, and evidence standards to support audits and reviews
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Economics
- Applied experience in fund accounting, fund administration, valuations, or investment operations (including alternative investments)
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify anomalies, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation techniques)
- Experience coordinating deliverables across multiple stakeholders and working to deadlines in a controlled environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and present updates to stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead or support process improvement
