Who we are looking for

Individual will lead the planning and execution of Alpha E2E and middle office recordkeeping conversion activities for their client programs.

The Alpha Conversion team manages the execution of the critical migration, conversion & cutover activities necessary to bring new clients on to the State Street Alpha platform. The Alpha Conversion team works with clients to facilitate data extraction & migration process, organizing and supporting recordkeeping conversion events (dry run, DITL/PPVE, dress rehearsal, go live) and ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units.

The Alpha Conversion Analyst manages ongoing client relationships, cross workstream collaboration and conversion team oversight.  Responsibilities will range from resourcing and cost estimation, scoping requirements, engaging with client and internal product teams to define the conversion approach and timeline, organizing and leading conversion events (dry run, DITL/PPVE, dress rehearsal, go live) and ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units. The individual will be expected to coordinate the activities of those involved in the conversion which could be up to 10-15 individuals located in different time zones.

What you will be responsible for

  • Serves as client facing lead for all conversation related activity with client and internal business units
  • Conversion workstream project management, client executive updates and presentations
  • Coordinates and drives the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestones;
  • Drives the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance;
  • Leads issue resolution and gap closure in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model based on the feedback provided;
  • Supports Conversion Manager in leading all conversion events which includes some weekend activity and off hours;
  • Serves as a subject matter expert speaking to details as required while managing multiple processes.

  • Weekend work required occasionally.
  • Occasional travel required for client or global team onsite visits
  • Telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

What we value

  • Proven experience in Migration, Cutover/Conversion discipline as part of large scale transformation projects – ideally within a context of migrating from Clients legacy architecture on to a vendor or service providers systems.
  • Demonstrated capacity in challenging & optimising cutover approaches & runbooks and management thereof foe the benefit of High Value transformation projects
  • Executive presence and ability to effectively communicate status, strategy, path to green at steering and sponsor levels.
  • Demonstrated high Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt.  System knowledge of RKS, CRIMS, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO or other is preferred
  • Demonstrated excellent Communication Skills with ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functions;
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in team management, employee development and mentoring
  • Proven ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work;
  • Working knowledge of data quality measures across referential, completeness, tolerance, index and business driven data qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Solid ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution;
  • Experience owning initiatives / projects related to Middle Office Client Onboarding;
  • Proven intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project, JIRA or other project management software experience; and
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQL.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management or related field; plus
  • 10 years of relevant financial industry experience

Alternative Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management or related field; plus
  • 3 years of relevant pre- or post-Master’s financial industry experience
