Job Description

We are looking for an ALM Analyst to support daily and ad hoc ALM requests as well as the regular weekly information used for asset and liability decisions across Institutional Retirement Finance. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys dependable delivery, can spot when numbers do not look right and wants to improve how reporting is produced. You do not need to be an actuary. We are open to candidates from finance, investments, insurance, pensions, operations or other data-led environments.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Running the regular weekly ALM MI process and responding accurately to daily or ad hoc ALM requests
    • Checking outputs for reasonableness and escalating unusual or unexpected results
    • Preparing concise analysis and commentary on key movements
    • Supporting what-if analysis for trades, new assets, new PRT schemes and reinsurance activity
    • Maintaining reporting controls, methodology and process documentation
    • Troubleshooting data, model and process issues with senior support
    • Contributing to automation and technology-enabled reporting improvements
    • Communicating delivery status, risks and issues to relevant stakeholders

    Who we're looking for:

    • Experience delivering recurring analytical, finance or reporting outputs to firm deadlines
    • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
    • Evidence of checking results for reasonableness and escalating issues
    • A practical approach to troubleshooting and solving process problems
    • Comfort working with code, models or automated workflows
    • Clear communication with colleagues across different specialist teams
    • Attention to detail, ownership and curiosity
    • Interest in ALM, investments, risk, insurance or pensions
