Allow us to introduce ourselves

At dss+, we’re not just another global consulting firm. We exist to save lives and create a sustainable future – for our clients, employees, and communities. We put people at the heart of everything we do, bringing together deep expertise, pragmatic problem-solving, and a genuine passion for impact.

As we continue to strengthen our digital and innovation capability, we are looking for an AI Product Owner & Delivery Lead to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we identify, design, and deliver AI-enabled solutions across our business and, over time, with our clients. You’ll help us unlock operational efficiencies, develop agentic AI tools, and embed innovation into the way we work – while ensuring every initiative drives measurable value and aligns with our purpose.

Does this sound like you?

As part of a forward-thinking technology and consulting community, you will take the lead on designing, implementing, and operationalising AI use cases across dss+. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery: shaping and delivering on our AI roadmap, managing multiple waves of use-case development, and bringing practical solutions to life for consultants, operations, and support teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the end-to-end AI use-case identification and implementation process – from ideation and prioritisation to deployment and adoption.

  • Acting as a product owner and delivery lead for AI conversation agents and other automation initiatives, ensuring they deliver clear operational and financial outcomes.

  • Partnering with consulting practices, functional leaders, and technical teams to map workflows, spot transformation opportunities, and embed AI solutions.

  • Tracking emerging technologies and releases (e.g., Microsoft, OpenAI) to assess their relevance and translate them into actionable opportunities for the firm.

  • Building and maintaining a framework for AI-driven efficiency, ensuring results are measurable and sustainable.

  • Supporting capability building and change management, training colleagues and champions to adopt new tools.

  • Contributing to thought leadership on AI, innovation, and responsible technology deployment within high-hazard industries.

What you bring

You are an experienced AI programme or product leader, able to bridge business strategy, technology, and delivery. You combine curiosity with pragmatism and are comfortable operating at pace in an entrepreneurial environment.

Your experience and expertise include:

  • A strong understanding of AI and data technologies (machine learning, NLP, computer vision, generative and agentic AI) and their application to operational efficiency.

  • Proven success managing cross-functional AI or digital transformation programmes, ideally in consulting or asset-intensive industries (energy, mining, chemicals, manufacturing).

  • Ability to map business processes and identify opportunities for automation or augmentation.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), APIs, integration tools, and ethical AI principles.

  • Solid experience with agile delivery and vendor/partner management.

  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to engage both executives and technical specialists.

  • A track record of delivering tangible outcomes, not just pilots or proofs of concept.

Qualifications & background

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or Operations Management (or equivalent).

  • 5–10 years’ experience in AI project delivery, digital transformation, or technology-enabled consulting.

  • Certifications in AI/ML, Agile, or Change Management are an advantage.

  • Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).

  • Based ideally in the UK with flexibility to work regionally.

A bit more about us

We are implementers and change-makers. Our passion lies in helping clients solve their biggest operational, safety, and sustainability challenges, while building cultures that embrace innovation and resilience.

Our expertise spans high-hazard and asset-intensive industries – chemicals, oil & gas, energy, metals & mining, manufacturing, and private equity. We translate complex problems into actionable roadmaps that deliver measurable results.
