The Role

We're hiring an AI-native software engineer who will be embedded across our People and Finance teams, helping us reimagine how those functions operate in a world where AI changes what's possible.

This isn't a traditional engineering role. You'll spend as much time thinking about process, insight, security and workflow as you will reviewing code written by the latest AI tools. You'll start by automating manual processes and building coherent dashboards from data that currently lives in too many places — then you'll help us see further: how can these functions stop being reactive and start leading with intelligence?

What will I be doing?

  • Build AI-Native Solutions: Design and deploy multi-step AI pipelines and agentic workflows using modern LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) to transform internal operations.
  • Automate & Orchestrate: Identify manual, repetitive processes across People and Finance to build reliable automation—from onboarding flows to complex month-end reporting.
  • Centralize Intelligence: Integrate data from core business systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Navan) into Databricks and BigQuery to create unified, real-time dashboards.
  • Define the "Art of the Possible": Partner with functional leaders to challenge existing workflows and prototype "intelligent" ways of working before they become industry standards.
  • Own the Roadmap: Act as a "team of one" initially, moving between high-level strategic conversations and hands-on technical implementation to deliver a long-term vision.
  • Ensure Reliability & Security: Spend dedicated time ensuring the security and integrity of workflows, reviewing AI-generated code, and making high judgement "build vs. buy" decisions.

About You

Ideally you’ll have/be:
  • Modern AI Proficiency: Strong experience building with modern AI/LLM APIs and the ability to manage complex data structures through Databricks and BigQuery.
  • Full-Stack Versatility: Comfortable working across the stack, including backend logic, data pipelines, and lightweight front-end development.
  • Embedded Experience: A history of working in cross-functional roles where you’ve translated business needs into technical reality.
  • Strategic Communicator: Able to make AI concepts accessible to non-technical stakeholders and happy to define problems rather than just execute specs.
What will set you apart:
  • System Integration Expertise: Specific experience integrating with HR or finance systems like Workday, Greenhouse, or Navan.
  • Agentic Workflow Mastery: Proven success in building agents that handle routine questions and autonomous processes.
