Job Title: AI Creative & Retouching Specialist
Location: London.
Reports to: Art Director
About us
DeMellier is a London-based brand that was founded with the vision of doing things differently: to design handbags that would make women feel empowered, made ethically and sustainably, while giving back to those who need it most. These principles guide everything we do. All our pieces are crafted ethically in Europe using the finest sustainably sourced materials. We champion equality, and for every piece sold, we fund vaccines and medical treatments aimed at saving the life of a child in need. So far, through our permanent charity initiative, ‘A Bag, A Life’, in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, we have funded over 2.5 million vaccines. Join us and be part of an award-winning, purpose-driven brand that fosters creativity, collaboration, and meaningful impact within the luxury industry.
The role
We are looking for an exceptional AI Creative & Retouching Specialist to join our creative team and help shape a new chapter of visual storytelling at DeMellier.
This is a new and evolving role, with the opportunity to explore how AI can unlock fresh creative possibilities within a luxury fashion brand. You will bring new life to our existing creative assets, developing a greater variety of content while preserving the craftsmanship, attention to detail and distinctive aesthetic at the heart of DeMellier.
A strong fashion eye and thoughtful creative judgement will be essential. You will understand what makes an image feel elevated, authentic and distinctly ours, combining AI tools with expert retouching and finishing to deliver beautifully considered work.
Alongside this, you will contribute to traditional retouching and artworking across campaigns, e-commerce, product, still-life and digital imagery, working closely with the wider creative team to bring our vision to life.
As part of a small, ambitious, founder-led team, you will have the space to experiment, contribute ideas and make a visible impact. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who combines visual sensitivity with technical skill and commercial awareness, and is excited to help define how DeMellier brings creativity, craftsmanship and emerging technology together.
Job requirements
  • Proven experience in retouching, artworking, digital image-making or a related creative discipline, ideally within luxury fashion, beauty, accessories or another premium creative environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual judgement and a sophisticated understanding of fashion and luxury imagery.
  • Advanced Photoshop and post-production skills, with a strong understanding of image finishing and compositing.
  • Proven experience creating content using generative AI, ideally across both still and moving image.
  • A genuinely AI-native mindset — curious about new tools and able to integrate them naturally into everyday creative workflows.
  • Excellent eye for detail, colour, composition, product accuracy and finish.
  • Strong understanding of how imagery needs to adapt across different channels, formats and platforms.
  • Ability to balance speed and volume with a very high level of creative execution.
  • Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A fast learner with excellent taste and an instinctive understanding of what feels premium.

Job responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • AI Creative & Content Production
  • Create high-quality still and moving-image content using AI, working from DeMellier’s existing product photography, campaign imagery and creative assets.
  • Find new ways to extend, transform and repurpose existing creative into a wider range of content across the customer journey.
  • Create new imagery and video that feels fashion-led, premium and on-brand, while retaining accuracy and integrity of the product.
  • Develop variations of creative for different audiences, channels, formats and stages of the funnel.
  • Experiment with emerging AI image and video tools, techniques and workflows to continually improve the quality, speed and scale of content production.
  • Work closely with the creative team to interpret briefs and turn ideas into polished, production-ready assets.
Retouching & Artworking
  • Retouch and finish both traditionally produced and AI-generated imagery to DeMellier’s exacting standards.
  • Ensure product, colour, materials, proportions, lighting and overall image quality are accurate and considered.
  • Combine AI generation with expert Photoshop, compositing and hand retouching where required.
  • Artwork, crop and adapt imagery across different formats, sizes, ratios and platforms.
  • Support the rollout of imagery across campaigns, e-commerce, website, social, digital advertising, CRM and wholesale.
  • Work efficiently across a high volume of assets while maintaining a consistently high level of craft and attention to detail.
Creative Craft & Brand
  • Bring an exceptional eye for fashion imagery, composition, colour, styling, lighting and visual storytelling.
  • Maintain a sophisticated luxury aesthetic across both traditionally produced and AI-generated content.
  • Understand when an image needs further creative or technical intervention and have the skills to finish it to a high standard.
  • Ensure all content feels coherent with DeMellier’s visual identity and creative direction.
Ways of working
  • Develop efficient and repeatable AI-led workflows that allow the creative team to produce more content, more quickly.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline and improve creative processes using new technology.
  • Keep up to date with developments in AI image and video generation and bring new ideas and capabilities into the team.
  • Work collaboratively with Creative, Graphic Design, Marketing, E-commerce and other teams across the business.
  • Be comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly in a small, entrepreneurial environment.
