About Dynamo AI

Dynamo AI helps enterprises deploy AI systems that are reliable, secure and production-ready. Our technical controls span AI evaluations, guardrails, agentic risk management and observability. We partner with innovative, highly regulated global organisations across financial services, government and other critical sectors to deploy meaningful AI use cases at scale, securely and compliantly.

About the AI Compliance Strategy Team

Dynamo’s AI Compliance Strategy team works at the intersection of AI risk-control development, product strategy and customer execution. We partner directly with risk, compliance, legal, controls, audit, technology and business leaders to turn regulatory and enterprise risk expectations into operational AI governance, controls and evidence.

The team helps customers operationalise technical AI risk controls; develops best-in-class runtime guardrails aligned to laws, regulations and emerging practice; informs product strategy; and contributes to high-impact policy and industry engagement.

The Role

We are seeking a Manager to partner with UK and European financial-services organisations as they design, deploy and operationalise AI risk evaluations and guardrail controls. You will work with AI governance, chief control office, operational-risk, compliance, legal, privacy, model-risk, technology and internal-audit stakeholders to help customers make AI controls usable, testable and defensible.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will translate regulatory and risk expectations into practical guardrail designs, support customers to integrate controls into their process, risk and control (PRC) taxonomy, and partner with product and deployment teams to refine control performance in production. You will also help customers define the organisational design, accountability and assurance mechanisms needed to scale AI responsibly.

Transferable experience is welcome

We do not expect every applicant to have held a dedicated ‘AI governance’ of ‘AI risk management’ title. We welcome candidates with strong transferable experience in financial-services controls, risk, assurance or audit who are eager to apply that expertise to AI. Relevant backgrounds include control office and business-control teams, operational or non-financial risk, compliance assurance, internal audit, privacy and advisory / consulting roles.

What You Will Do

Customer Control Integration and Operating Model Design

  • Advise prospective and current financial-services customers on deploying Dynamo AI controls to manage legal, regulatory, conduct, operational and reputational risk.
  • Assess each customer’s current AI governance, risk and control environment; map Dynamo guardrails into relevant processes, risk taxonomies, control libraries, risk-and-control self-assessments and evidence workflows.
  • Help customers define pragmatic AI-risk target operating models, including decision rights, RACI matrices, governance forums, escalation paths and lifecycle responsibilities across business and technology owners, second-line oversight functions and independent assurance.
  • Apply a practical understanding of the three lines of defense model to position controls correctly: first-line ownership and operation; second-line policy, risk and compliance oversight and challenge; and third-line independent assurance.
  • Lead workshops, demonstrations and training sessions that enable senior and operational stakeholders to adopt Dynamo and operate controls consistently.

AI Guardrail Design, Control Operations and Alert Triage

  • Translate applicable UK, EU and global laws, regulations, supervisory expectations and customer policies into clear guardrail objectives, requirements and test cases.
  • Design, document and validate AI guardrails and evaluations, defining the control objective, risk addressed, coverage, thresholds, limitations, ownership and required evidence.
  • Build and refine datasets, scenarios and review cycles that test guardrails against relevant regulatory, conduct, privacy, security and operational-risk use cases.
  • Partner with product, engineering and deployment teams to monitor guardrail behaviour in production, investigate trends and recommend enhancements to controls, workflows, reporting and user guidance.
  • Help define and, where agreed with the customer, support control-alert and exception-triage workflows: assess materiality and severity, distinguish false positives from actionable findings, route matters to accountable owners, document rationale and track remediation through closure.

Assurance, Audit Readiness and Continuous Improvement

  • Help customers design controls that are auditable by establishing clear evidence standards, testing approaches, issue-management routines, and documented approvals.
  • Support customers in the development of control design and operating effectiveness; suggest strategies to identify gaps, assist with remediation plans and communicate residual-risk considerations to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear client-facing artefacts, including control narratives, risk-and-control matrices, test plans, management reporting and audit or assurance-readout materials to facilitate use of Dynamo.
  • Bring market and customer insight to Dynamo’s product roadmap, including improvements to guardrail creation, reporting, observability, and usability.

What We Are Looking For

Core Qualifications

  • Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience in financial services, a regulated-industry environment or a consulting/advisory firm serving regulated clients.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: business controls or a control office; process, risk and control (PRC) frameworks; operational/non-financial risk; compliance assurance, internal audit; or risk and controls consulting.
  • Working understanding of the three lines of defense model and the practical distinction between owning and operating controls, providing independent oversight and challenge, and delivering independent assurance.
  • Experience helping to design, document, test, monitor or evidence controls, including control narratives, risk-and-control matrices, risk assessments, test plans, issues/exceptions or remediation tracking.
  • Ability to analyse ambiguous regulatory, policy or operational requirements and convert them into structured, actionable controls and clear client materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders across risk, compliance, legal, technology and business teams.
  • Strong project-management skills and a demonstrated ability to drive multiple workstreams from research through implementation and reporting.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, both remotely and in person, with travel of up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI governance, AI risk management, model risk management, data governance, privacy, responsible AI, automated decisioning or related technology-risk disciplines.
  • Familiarity with UK financial-services regulation and supervisory expectations, including the FCA and PRA, and with relevant UK and EU AI, data-protection or digital-resilience considerations.
  • Experience preparing for, conducting or responding to assurance reviews, internal audits, external audits or regulatory examinations.
  • Experience designing operational triage, exception-management, incident-management or issue-remediation workflows, including appropriate escalation and management information.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI observability, monitoring, security workflows, governance tooling or controls automation.
  • Foundational knowledge of machine learning, large language models or AI evaluation concepts.

Relevant Backgrounds and Comparable Roles

We welcome applications from candidates whose current or previous role is comparable in scope, even where the title does not include AI. The table below illustrates backgrounds that can translate strongly to this role.

Candidate background

Transferable experience for this role

Financial Services Risk / Controls Consulting

Client delivery, target operating model design, control-framework design, transformation, testing and executive communication.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within the first months, you can explain a customer’s AI use case, control environment and relevant accountability model in a way that aligns risk, technology and business stakeholders.
  • You help produce guardrail and control documentation that is clear enough to implement, operate, test and evidence.
  • You contribute to practical workflows for monitoring, alert triage, escalation and remediation that customers can sustain after deployment.
  • You become a trusted translator between customer control functions and Dynamo’s product and engineering teams, improving both customer outcomes and product capability.
