About Us

Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is the intelligent platform for travel and spend management. Built to tackle the time-consuming, manual work that gets in the way of real work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings to expenses, invoice processing, and more. By eliminating this shadow work that wastes hours, erodes morale, and saps innovation, we’re on a mission to power real work, with real impact.

We’re trusted by more than 10,000 companies worldwide, including Wise, On Running, Breitling, and Fabletics, and we’re tackling the 7 hours of lost productivity per employee each week, a $1.7 trillion problem.

Founded in 2015, Perk has grown into a global company of more than 1,800 people across 12 offices globally, with headquarters in London and Boston. We combine innovation, control, and simplicity to transform how businesses work and how people feel at work.

At Perk, we’re driven by our values, like being an owner, delivering a 7-star experience, and working as one team. We value curiosity, purpose, and mindset, not just knowledge, to unlock the power in your potential. The mission of this role couldn’t be more clear: We're building a best-in-class recruiting engine and we want to automate as much of the candidate journey as possible and leverage AI to remove shadow work. As our AI & Automation Specialist within the Talent Acquisition team, you'll be the person who makes recruiting faster, smarter, and more consistent by building the artifacts, systems and automations that power it. Are you ready for the challenge?

This is a builder role within the Talent Acquisition team. You'll have ownership over what gets built and the autonomy to choose the right tool for each job, from a Make scenario to a Python service to a lightweight internal app.
Reporting the Head of Talent Acquisition Operations and Insights, you'll sit within the Talent Acquisition team to work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader People function to identify manual work that shouldn't be manual, and then eliminate it with scalable and easy to maintain solutions.

What you'll do
AI & Automations
  • Own the design and build of applications, automations, and integrations across the recruiting stack

  • Map candidate journey touch points to identify friction and manual effort

  • Build solutions such as Zapier or Make flows, Python scripts, web hooks and API integrations, and lightweight internal tools

  • Connect the ATS with other systems, including communication tools, HRIS, sourcing platforms, and LLMs

  • Ensure data moves cleanly between systems

  • Write AI-assisted SQL queries to pull and validate data

  • Build operational reports and surface insights to help the team make better decisions.

  • Turn recruiter-described repetitive tasks into workflows

Enablement:
  • Document the applications you built and the integrations you implemented, then roll them out and train the team on how to use them.

  • Enable the team, allowing them to better understand how they can use the available AI tools in their day-to-day.

  • Stay up to date with AI innovations and identify opportunities, benchmark and eventually implement new features or technologies as they arise.

What We're looking for

The successful candidate will have most of the following elements as part of their experience:

  • More than 3 years of experience working as Engineer or related field

  • At least has been the last year building applications using AI and implementing automations in a professional/real company context

  • Knowledgeable about the key differences between main LLM models and selecting the best model for each use case

  • Worked extensively with no-code/low-code platforms such as Zapier or Make at a large scale

  • Proficient in creating SQL to query operational data and build reports independently

  • Understands the recruiting process, data model, and candidate experience to design contextually appropriate automations

  • Experience in the Talent Acquisition domain: Background may include HR Tech, recruiting software companies, or TA/Business Operations in a tech company

Why Join Us

Impactful Work: The role offers the opportunity to drive transformational change in how recruiting is done, leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation to remove manual, repetitive tasks.

Innovation: The position is at the forefront of integrating AI and automation in Talent Acquisition, allowing the successful candidate to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously implement the latest technologies.

Ownership & Autonomy: You will own the design and build of key systems and automations, making a tangible difference to the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting process.

Collaboration: There is potential to collaborate with talented recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader People function, giving you strong exposure across the business and opportunities to learn from different perspectives.

Skill Growth: The mix of technical work (AI, scripting, integrations, SQL) and enablement (documentation, training, team empowerment) will help you develop a versatile and future-proof skill set.

Domain Expertise: You’ll work within the growing Talent Acquisition function, gaining deep experience in HR Tech and recruiting operations within an innovative company.
