A Day in the LifeTo support the Medtronic vision to lead and disrupt the EP market in cardiac mapping and ablation solutions for arrythmia management; we are currently looking for an energetic, dynamic and creative marketeer to help us implement strategic marketing initiatives for the Affera Mapping & Ablation System.
This will be a Western European role so you will have the opportunity to immerse in different markets, great exposure to KOLs across the region and the chance to make an impact in shaping the future of electrophysiology.
This is a strategic role and would be an excellent fit for a highly collaborative, people-oriented junior marketeer who is looking for a fresh challenge with a truly differentiated and high-profile product.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for Affera Mapping & Ablation System with a strong focus on elevating Medtronic as a leader in the EP market
  • Execute on a diverse range of strategically planned marketing activities
  • Collect voice of the customers, analyze insights and integrate them into plans and execution, while defining target customer segments, developing product positioning, crafting value propositions and messages that resonate well with customers
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders; develop a KOL and promotional plan to elevate market adoption, collect competitive intelligence and execute competitive marketing programs to boost Medtronic leadership in EP space, lead operational aspects of product management, execute short- and long- term product planning
  • Act as the internal and external champion of the product, liaising with various internal and external stakeholders and being the point of expertise for information on the product, target market and product competitors.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the product to the sales team; develop the tools to support the selling process, while structuring marketing campaigns and collaborating with regional marketing product managers and field force to ensure successful execution 
  • Develop solid promotional programs via digital channels to drive awareness while partnering with Training and Education to ensure the sales force and customers are trained on product

Required knowledge and experience

  • Bachelors/Masters in Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences or business degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Marketing experience from the medical device field, preferably in cardiac rhythm management and/or Electrophysiology (EP)
  • Self-starter with strong track record of project execution
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, under pressure, capable of maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Ability to clearly communicate marketing strategy and tactical plans, lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners, prioritize high impact activities, and keep complex projects moving forward while also quickly developing relationships and rapport with individuals at all levels and from all cultures
  • Data analytics aimed at rendering meaningful insights from raw data, as well understanding rapidly clinical/technical aspects of the job
  • Fluency in English with ability to travel for 30-50% of working time
