IMEG, formerly FHI Studio, is hiring an Administrative Assistant in New York, NY to provide administrative support for assigned engineering teams and complete day-to-day administrative tasks. This role also uses and reviews IMEG standard document templates. 

You will work within the team’s monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. The team supports transportation, planning, and landscape architecture markets.

What You'll Do 

  • Follow and promote IMEG Standards. 
  • Provide administrative support to assigned engineering teams and assist other teams as needed. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of project, client, corporate, and employee matters. 
  • Work with engineering specifications for applicable disciplines. 
  • Attend and actively contribute to group meetings. 
  • Answer phones as needed. 
  • Arrange meetings and travel for the team or office as needed. 
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and shipping as needed. 
  • Use and review IMEG standard document templates. 
  • Work within the team’s monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. 

What You'll Bring 

Required Education 

  • High School Diploma/GED required 

Experience 

  • No experience required, 1 year experience with engineering administration preferred 

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to work with staff of all levels 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Strong customer service orientation coupled with the ability to exhibit and maintain a positive attitude 
  • Team player but also able to work on own initiative 
  • Self-motivated and flexible 

Preferred 

  • Associate Degree preferred 

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

  • Public-sector transportation, planning, urban design, and environmental work concentrated across Connecticut and the Northeast. 
  • Active portfolio includes transportation planning, community planning, urban design, environmental and natural resource planning, and landscape architecture. 
  • Recent work includes Greater Hartford Mobility Study, Government (City/County/State), and Fairfield POCD, Government (City/County/State).

State of New York Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour 

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. 

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications. 

Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
