Administration Assistant
Circle Decontamination - Aylesford
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £25,515.37 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Administration Assistant to join their team of staff in the Administration department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • You support the unit in ensuring all administrative duties are completed in a professional manner, reporting to the Unit’s Administrator and providing administrative support to the production and managerial team.

  • You will support all aspects of the decontamination process pertaining to both instrumentation and endoscopy

  • You assist in the answering of calls from customers.

  • You utilise the booking system for the loaning of flexible endoscopes between different hospitals and endoscopy suites and co-ordinate the delivery of flexible endoscopes to all sites.

  • You co-ordinate repairs and service contracts under direction as required.

  • You order and co-ordinate the storage of supplies ensuring adequate stocks are maintained at all times.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The ability to work as a team member.

  • The ability to work on own initiative.

  • The ability to work under pressure, to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to work accurately and to precise detail, with good organisational and follow-up skills.

  • GCSEs (or equivalent)

  • English and Maths (Grades 4/C or above).

  • Post-GCSE qualifications (optional but helpful):

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business and Administration

  • BTEC or OCR Nationals in business-related subjects

  • Apprenticeships (e.g. Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard)
