We are looking to hire a full-time Accounts Associate to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role will involve day-to-day bookkeeping and assisting the Head of Finance in preparing management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve revenue data from clients’ automated systems monthly and issue invoices for services rendered.
- Review bank reconciliations performed by other team members and carry out additional monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare financial performance reports for various stakeholders.
- Maintain the payables ledger, including reviewing bills booked by other team members and processing supplier payments.
- Maintain the receivables ledger and assist with collections.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts up to the Trial Balance.
- Compile and submit quarterly VAT returns and Recap Declarations.
- Support the company’s annual audit process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance depending on business needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Must be residing in Malta.
- Candidates pursuing accounting qualifications or ACCA candidates are an asset.
- Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Effective team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
