About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This junior-level role is ideal for someone currently studying towards AAT or looking to begin their accounting qualification.
You will gain broad exposure to core financial processes and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Administer company credit cards: collect receipts, reconcile statements, and post transactions to the ledger
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayments
- Maintain the fixed assets register and assist with leasehold amortisation
- Post daily Visa settlements journals
- Maintain interest certificates log
- Support payroll finance processes: review monthly payroll variances and post related journals in SAP
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
- Assist with other ad-hoc finance and reporting tasks as required
Ideal Candidate
- Actively studying or planning to study AAT
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in book-keeping
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a finance team
