Job Responsibilities:
The Sr Accountant manages the timely and accurate reporting of financial information and ensures all business transactions conform to the established procedures. They will maintain general ledger and company interface to ensure accounting accuracy analyzing and verifying accuracy of financial transactions.
General Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliation
- Month end Closing processing
- General Ledger processing (Interfacing & posting)
- Chart of Accounts Maintenance
- Weekly Inventory Reconciliation
- Assist in the Budget Process
- Various Account analysis
Costing:
- Establish & Maintain the Financial Costing system including all Part Masters, BOM's Routings, Machine & Labor Codes, Product Group Codes for both Manufactured Parts & Purchased Parts, Material, Labor & Machine Hour Standards
- Produce monthly reports for Management (Variances , Reserves)
- General Ledger interaction with costing module
- Maintain appropriate documentation to satisfy Audits
Qualification Requirements:
- Understanding of general accounting and account reconciliation principles required
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel required; Strong knowledge of Excel formulas considered an asset
- Able to work flexible hours and varied start/end times
- Effective trouble shooting for a variety of different situations/issues effectively
- Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
- Ability to multitask accustomed to working in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Strong attention to detail (Verification of invoices, BOM's & checks essential)
- Preferable - Ideas, Trans4M or equivalent ERP program experience
