Account Manager - Permanent Point of Sale  

 

TMS Global are a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith PLC, a multi-national packaging and display manufacturing business. TMS Global specialise in the outsourcing of retail display, print and packaging and are active in 97 markets globally. About the Role 

 

As the Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing relationships across client sites in the UK, acting as the key liaison between the client and internal teams. This role is responsible for overseeing Permanent Display packaging-related projects while also engaging in broader discussions around quality, supply chain, and logistics. 

 

With a strong foundation from built from the FMCG industry, excellent project management skills and a technical mindset, the Account Manager follows the full development process of Display Packaging solutions - from initial concept through to deployment. They lead initiatives such as a full end to end packaging process review, ensuring packaging is fit for purpose and aligned with client needs and retailer guidelines. 

 

A core part of the role involves understanding the end-to-end supply chain and identifying opportunities for improvement. The Account Manager collaborates closely with specialist teams to implement enhancements that drive efficiency, sustainability, and value for the client. The Account Manager will be responsible for delivering results through a culture of collaboration and accountability, with a hands-on attitude. 

 

This is a hybrid role based in the UK and English is essential. Some occasional travel may be required.  

 

Your core responsibilities:  

  • Overseeing the end-to-end permanent POS print and structural campaigns for FMCG clients.  

  • Control the project management of Display Packaging from client brief to delivery including; Preparing quotations, managing budgets and delivering profitable account growth.  

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating internal teams including design, estimating, production, logistics and installation.  

  • Maintain an up-to-date dashboard monthly, identifying key opportunities or issues. 

  • Ensure regular presence on client sites and meet regularly with relevant stakeholders in person 

  • Identify potential opportunities through various lenses, gather and address comprehensive insight of every value-related opportunity. 

 

 To qualify for the role the following skills are essential: 

 

  • Demonstratable Proven experience in managing the permanent point of sale (POS) display programmes.  

  • Proven experience in an Account Manager or Client Services role within the Permanent POS, retail display or shopper marketing industry.   

  • Expertise in managing print management strategies, planning, budget, and cost management. 

  • Comprehensive understanding of design to enable implementation of creative solutions. 

  • Proven service delivery experience in an account management setting. 

  • Strong technical understanding of Print and Display categories. 

  • Experience managing multi-campaign/multi-job projects with multiple service line elements. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and CRM systems - Previous experience of mTivity is advantageous.   

  • French, German or Spanish fluency is highly desirable.   

 

About You 

 

We’re looking for someone with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, from creating critical paths and overseeing multiple projects ideally gained within a logistics and co-packing environment. You will be the main point of contact for the client, keeping them informed of progress while also building strong relationships with our internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure a seamless delivery. 

 
As part of the end-to end life cycle process, you will take care of all the crucial briefing and administration. You'll also be a proactive, hands-on problem-solver.
