Key Account Manager – Industrial Water Treatment Division –

Temporary 12-month contract                

                     

Location: Field based UK Central (North West)     

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Central area manager you will be expected to achieve your individual commercial targets line with our business strategy.

• The management of industrial water treatment applications, including the routine testing of our customers cooling and boiler water treatment applications on your designated sites.

• There is initially an approximate 20/80 split between new business sales and key account management (including sales and service and consultancy to existing customers).

• You will be responsible for all sales, account correspondence, contracts, orders received, new business implementation, troubleshooting and follow up within territory.

• Forecasting of the area financials performance on a monthly basis.

• The specific customers served include, food and beverage, metal processing and general manufacturing.

• You will deal with a number of your customers technical and engineering site contacts and commercial buyers.

• You will need to work with Solenis processes and systems to ensure that we meet the customer needs and maintain our compliance obligations.

  

The Individual

• Graduate degree, preferably in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, is an advantage or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• 5 years’ of progressive experience in sales/account management in the water treatment industry is a distinctive advantage.

• Sound technical knowledge of boiler and cooling water treatment products and applications.

• Knowledge of other water treatment applications, and/or experience in selling biocides, polymer’s and defoamers is advantageous.

• Customer focused approached – the ability to clearly communicate at all levels, meet the needs and expectations of demanding customers.

• Attention to detail and results focused – to deliver on our strategic business KPI’s and compliance responsibilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
