Account Executive, International Property

The Role:

Responsibilities to include providing technical and administration support to the International Property division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determines own (and others’ as appropriate) work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives

  • Meets agreed targets.

  • Participates in team meetings as required, reporting on business progress within their area of expertise.

  • Manages assigned projects and contributes to other projects as requires.

  • Assist with the creation of comprehensive client and broking documents including MRCs and endorsements

  • Is aware of, and satisfies, territory, tax, and legislation requirements.

  • Takes responsibility for data entry, and chasing subjectivities where requires

  • Corresponds with clients and the broking team on upcoming premium payments

  • Checks evidence of cover and debit/credit notes for accuracy. (May be an authorised signatory for some types of client documentation)

  • Ensures up-to-date records are maintained at all times on the company systems

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure service delivery meets expectations and is compliant

  • Actively undertakes personal development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of best practice

Skills & Attributes:

  • Sound understanding of general and legal principles of insurance, with relevant product line experience.

  • Good understanding of regulatory environments and requirements

  • Knowledge of the market, including competitors, specific territories, and cultural awareness

  • Excellent team player with a clear understanding of team objectives and how their role contributes

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; positively regarded by colleagues and clients

  • Customer-focused approach, with excellent attention to detail and ability to learn

  • Highly numerate, literate, and computer literate

  • Strong decision-making, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently using initiative

  • Flexible and resilient under pressure, able to manage tight deadlines and positively react to change

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)

  • A levels or equivalent (desirable)

  • Attainment of the LLMIT (the Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test) where relevant to the role

  • Working towards or has attained ACII (although this is not critical)
