The UK Sales & Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for establishing, leading and developing relationships with the largest and most sophisticated UK Institutional investors. The unit is focused on developing our business with pension schemes, fiduciary managers, platforms, wealth managers and other financial institutions, helping to grow assets under management and revenue.

The team’s focus is twofold; to deepen and expand our relationship with our strategically important clients, bringing them the very best of State Street, and to achieve ambitious sales targets by introducing new relationships to the firm.

You will build meaningful, trust-based relationships with our prospects and clients, their advisors and other service providers as you help us to address their challenges with the aim of becoming their primary investment partner. In addition to taking the lead on several client accounts, your role will be to prospect and win new business from consolidators and aggregators operating across the DB, DC, Wealth and Insurance client segments

What you will be responsible for
As an Account Executive in the UK Sales & Strategic Partnerships team you will

  • Take the lead for a portfolio of clients and build mutually beneficial and longstanding relationships that are valuable for our clients and encourage them to make us their first call.
  • Be responsible for the targeted prospecting of new relationships whom we can partner with to develop innovative investment solutions for their clients, members or beneficiaries.
  • Work energetically to create investment solutions which address the needs of our clients and prospects, leveraging the broad heritage and investment capabilities of the firm whilst contributing to revenue targets.
  • Structure and provide input into bespoke multi-year commercial agreements which secure long term revenue for the firm.
  • Ensure clients and their advisors receive a positive experience by overseeing exceptional servicing across all contact points, preempting any possible problems and actively enhancing standards.
  • Support other members of the team with commercial proposal structuring, market analysis, market insight and management reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with our Consultant Relations team to help support the creation of new capabilities and diversification of our client mix.
  • Work closely with local and global colleagues in Portfolio Management, Marketing, Product and Operations to ensure that we grow and maintain our business in a client-centric manner.
  • Safeguarding the integrity and culture of our firm by championing risk and compliance policies that protect our clients' interests and those of State Street.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • IMC qualification (or equivalent) required
  • Strong technical ability with investment industry knowledge required.
  • CFA, CAIA or equivalent graduate-level finance qualification preferred
