As our next Account Executive, SME, you’ll help bring more of the right trade businesses onto our platform, so more homeowners can get jobs done right. Working in our Strategic Growth team, you’ll be focused on new business acquisition, helping us grow our trade base in high-impact categories and regions.


Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Delivering high-quality, outbound sales that grow our base of small and medium trade businesses.

  • Spotting untapped categories or regional opportunities and helping us act on them.

  • Collaborating with our Account Management, Product, Vetting and Operations teams to get trades signed and set up for success.

  • Making sure every interaction with a trade business shows the value of Checkatrade and leaves a great impression.


It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Early career experience in commercial or new sales, ideally with outbound acquisition.

  • A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

  • Strong communication skills and a curiosity to understand what trades need.

  • Confidence using CRM tools like Salesforce, or the drive to learn fast
