What you’ll do

As an Account Executive, Existing Business, you’ll build long-term partnerships with large, complex organisations. You’ll combine strategic account management with proactive opportunity development to expand Stripe’s role within each account.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account plans to retain and grow a named portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and coordinate engagement with Stripe’s leadership.
  • Identify new stakeholders and opportunities to expand Stripe’s products and share of wallet.
  • Own the expansion sales cycle, from opportunity development through negotiation, close, and coordination with activation teams.
  • Partner with product and technical specialists to lead workshops, develop solutions, and build financial cases for investment.
  • Contribute to sector strategy and develop repeatable sales processes and engagement models.
  • Share user insights with Product and Engineering to inform product strategy.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, opportunity records, and forecasts.
Who you are

You’re a consultative salesperson who builds executive sponsorship and turns existing customer relationships into long-term partnerships. You’re comfortable with business and technical conversations, understand complex business models, and help users quantify the value of their investment.

You bring curiosity, sound judgment, and initiative. You can develop an approach without an established playbook, bring in the right partners, and act on feedback.

Minimum requirements
  • 7+ years of sales experience with strong commercial results and extensive experience selling technology products or services to upper middle market or enterprise organisations.
  • Experience growing existing enterprise accounts through executive relationships, account planning, and new opportunity development.
  • Experience working with organisations in banking, energy, or the public sector.
  • A track record of leading complex, multi-party sales from inception to close through a consultative, value-based approach.
  • Experience building trust with executive decision-makers across technology, finance, and business functions.
  • An ability to understand complex technical requirements and explain relevant solutions.
  • Strong listening, presentation, and written communication skills, with experience negotiating bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Persistence and an ability to work independently through ambiguity and internal or external blockers.
  • A disciplined approach to CRM, account planning, and forecasting.
