Job Summary
Our Off-Cycle Program begins in Spring, Summer or Autumn, depending on your academic schedule. As a Systematic Trading Analyst Intern in our Automated Trading Strategies group, you will have the opportunity to analyze data to identify patterns and revenue opportunities, design trading and execution strategies, and conduct back testing. You will also be responsible for expanding our group's library of modelling, analytics, and automation tools, reviewing trading performance, and maintaining and improving our trading software systems and tools. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, working on projects independently while collaborating with a wider team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design trading and execution strategies; research micro-patterns and trends.
  • Analyze data to uncover patterns and revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct back-testing and evaluation of pricing, risk management, and execution strategies.
  • Review trading performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain and enhance the group's systematic trading tools.
  • Resolve day-to-day trading issues.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or other quantitative fields, with expected graduation between January 2024 and December 2025.
  • Proficiency in programming with C++/Java or other object-oriented languages.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Demonstrated interest in markets and systematic trading.
  • Knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, adaptability, drive, and collaboration skills.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency in understanding and mapping data flows across applications and data sources
  • Prior internship experience is a plus
  • Experience with KDB+/q
