Build and deploy predictive models across credit acquisition, portfolio management, collections, fraud, and rewards. Own the full modeling lifecycle, including feature engineering, validation, implementation, monitoring, and drift analysis. Work directly with risk and commercial teams to improve decisions and measurable outcomes. Help establish Yonder’s data science standards, tooling, experimentation practices, and development approach while clearly communicating model insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Senior Product Engineer contracted for three months to deliver Scala backend features across payments, banking, and rewards. Responsibilities include building Kafka-based integrations, improving service reliability and test coverage, contributing to React Native mobile features, and documenting delivered work. The role requires rapid onboarding to an existing codebase, strong distributed-systems expertise, production functional Scala experience, and ownership of the full development lifecycle. Work is primarily office-based in Shoreditch, with at least three days per week onsite.

Build and operate production backend services for payments, core banking, and rewards. Design distributed microservices, event-driven features, APIs, and data flows using Scala, Kafka, and cloud infrastructure. Own services through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams while contributing to architecture, testing, reliability, observability, security, and occasional frontend or infrastructure work.
