Lead and assure implementation of ISO 15288 systems engineering across projects. Provide technical direction, develop SE artefacts, coordinate design reviews, manage customers/suppliers, estimate effort/costs, coach and line-manage systems engineers, and support proposals and security compliance for defence cyber cryptographic/key management solutions.

Build, manage and support air-gapped on‑premises VDI and core infrastructure across Maidenhead and Farnborough. Lead VDI migrations, optimise VDI performance and security, manage servers, networks and HCI, run incident/change management, ensure compliance and DR/BC readiness, automate tasks with scripting, coordinate vendors, and deliver strategic IT projects aligned to global IT strategy.

Lead engineering delivery for programmes, managing systems engineering teams across lifecycle activities including architecture, integration, requirements, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and customer/subcontractor engagement while ensuring security and standards compliance.

Lead and provide technical direction for a 20–30 person software engineering team delivering embedded and application software for defence cyber programs. Define architectures, processes, CI/CD, secure development standards, mentor engineers, author technical proposals, ensure compliance with high-assurance and coding standards (e.g., MISRA), and coordinate with systems, hardware, and firmware teams.

Lead safety and reliability engineering for defence electronic products: perform hazard analyses (FMEA/FMECA, FTA, PHA/FHA), define safety requirements, manage hazard logs and safety cases, influence design, support verification/validation, mentor engineers, and interface with customers and assurance bodies to ensure compliance with defence safety standards.

Design, implement and maintain automated test solutions and facilities for electronic products (production and qualification). Develop test software/firmware, create test procedures and documentation, support manufacture and commissioning, troubleshoot legacy equipment, and collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are testable and secure.

Lead and manage multi-discipline systems engineering delivery across projects to meet scope, budget and schedule. Own systems engineering lifecycle (ISO 15288/24748), modelling, configuration management, traceability and metrics. Coordinate resources, quantify technical risks and estimates, support program management, represent the company to customers/suppliers, manage change, and support recruitment and team development. Requires UK travel, significant on-site presence, driving licence, SC and ability to obtain DV clearance.

Design and layout complex multi-layer rigid, semi-rigid and flex PCBs (4-20 layers) for aerospace, space, security and commercial programmes. Work with hardware, mechanical, production and supply teams to meet signal integrity, EMC/TEMPEST, DFM/DFT and DO-254 requirements. Administer CAD libraries, liaise with suppliers, estimate effort, lead design aspects, and improve PCB tools and processes.

Develop, implement, document and test embedded and application software within a team for secure defence products. Work spans requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, verification, CI and maintenance. Follow secure development practices, contribute to software community of practice, and progress from SFIA level 2 to level 3 responsibilities.

Lead end-to-end planning, delivery and governance of complex multidisciplinary engineering projects and bids. Manage bid lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, schedules, budgets, risks, compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet schedule, cost, quality and security requirements.

Lead systems engineering for a defence cyber programme, implementing ISO/IEEE/IEC lifecycle processes, defining and delivering system solutions, managing technical teams, assuring requirements flow-down, coordinating architects, overseeing design reviews, supplier/customer engagement, producing technical proposals and artefacts, and supporting security clearance-sensitive activities.
