The Group Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, accounting, forecasting, VAT, employment taxes, transfer pricing, R&D tax relief, governance, and audit activities across UK and European entities. The role manages external advisors, supports Finance, HR, Legal, and Treasury, improves tax processes through automation, and mentors a Senior Tax Analyst. Responsibilities include tax provisions, statutory disclosures, cash tax planning, risk controls, and advisory support for new products and tax developments.

Lead production of the Group's IFRS annual and half-year financial statements, manage external audits, own cashflow forecasting and liquidity analysis, act as the primary technical accounting authority, implement new standards, oversee subsidiary statutory filings, drive controls and accounting policy, manage stakeholder and banking relationships, and lead cross-functional projects and a high-performing reporting team.

Lead Trainline’s corporate sustainability agenda, including delivery of its SBTi-validated emissions reduction strategy, supplier engagement, and Scope 3 reductions. Drive adoption of the Watershed GHG data platform, support sustainability-linked disclosures, improve ESG ratings, and develop measurement approaches for emerging topics such as AI emissions. Influence senior stakeholders and teams across the business while presenting sustainability progress internally and externally.
