Own end-to-end systems, apply AI-assisted engineering, mentor junior engineers, drive CI/CD and DevOps practices, optimize performance, and collaborate with product and scientific teams to translate complex workflows into reliable production services.

Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and Databricks integrations to make toxicology and ecotoxicology data analysis-ready. Translate scientific requirements into production data products, drive data governance, prototype data solutions, and support data literacy and training across Product Safety stakeholders.

Manage payroll interfaces, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll tax (PSA) coordination, employee cost and headcount reporting, insurance cost reporting and recharging. Oversee Concur expense processes and shared service centers, act as finance business partner to HR, Legal and Finance, support month-end close, budgeting, compliance activities, and participate in finance transformation projects.

Lead governance and adoption of Syngenta's global HSE learning ecosystem. Manage digital learning platforms, oversee competence records and content lifecycle, deliver learning and competence reporting, build a global training network, drive engagement and CPD, and liaise with platform owners to improve learner experience.

Analyze historical biological and field-trial data to uncover patterns affecting product performance, build and validate ML/deep learning models for crop protection outcomes, support R&D decision-making, design field trials with technical managers, integrate models with IT/software, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Support EU regulatory toxicology for crop protection products: manage toxicology data and projects, prepare and review regulatory submission sections, liaise with risk assessment teams and authorities (EFSA, ECHA), and contribute to strategy, training, and industry working groups to ensure safety and compliance.

Lead Product Safety Europe’s digital strategy and IUCLID governance. Manage a specialist team to deliver IUCLID dossiers, data quality, automation and digital transformation initiatives. Represent PS Europe in cross-functional programs, embed regulatory requirements into platforms and drive adoption, change and capability building across the function.

Support daily solid-state lab operations, maintain and improve polymorph screening automation robots, perform analytical characterisation (e.g., XRPD, DSC, TGA), collaborate with formulation and process chemists, and apply new techniques to advance polymorphism and crystallisation science.

Perform experimental herbicide resistance research including maintaining and purifying Amaranthus biotypes, supporting resistant seed tests, using BioME/Spotfire/Geneious for data, preparing plants for spray tests, processing seeds, liaising with horticulture and external sites, troubleshooting non-conformities, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.
