Responsibilities include multi-modal traffic assessments, microsimulation, highway and sustainable transport analysis, project workstream leadership, report and proposal preparation, consultant and support staff management, and budget control. The role supports projects spanning major developments, highway regeneration, bus priority, cycle improvements, pedestrian comfort, servicing capacity, and traffic management.

Deliver geospatial analysis and visualisations for transport projects using GIS tools. Analyse spatial and non-spatial datasets, build maps, dashboards and web mapping tools, automate workflows, present findings, and support client relationships and business development within multidisciplinary teams.

Lead transport planning workstreams for major developments, delivering highway and sustainable transport advice, managing projects, clients, budgets and sub-consultants. Prepare reports, lead stakeholder engagement, win work, mentor junior staff and contribute to business development while supporting professional development and chartership.

Lead and win financial advisory and transaction mandates for infrastructure and energy transition projects. Manage complex engagements, draft teasers and information memoranda, run funding competitions, coordinate advisors, close debt and equity deals, mentor junior staff, support business development, and ensure project profitability and quality.

Lead and deliver large-scale financial modelling and project finance engagements, manage teams, build client relationships, drive business development, ensure commercial and quality control, mentor junior staff, and support onboarding and CPD to maintain professional accreditation.

Provide commercial advice on energy and infrastructure transactions, manage complex client engagements, develop proposals, supervise project resources and financial modelling, drive business development, manage scope/risk, and mentor junior staff while contributing to a practice area focused on renewables and decentralised energy.

Lead and deliver specialist transport planning and development projects, providing policy, strategy, econometric, geospatial and traffic modelling advice to public and private clients. Manage project teams, bids, client relationships and commercial decisions. Communicate complex analysis clearly, support business development, and mentor junior staff (Principal level).

Lead and grow Steer’s UK Transport Development Planning practice by winning and directing major projects, delivering technical leadership, managing client relationships, securing planning consents, representing clients at public inquiry, and mentoring senior staff while ensuring financial performance and risk mitigation.
