Manage and oversee policyholder investment portfolios, including asset allocation implementation, multi-asset fund performance monitoring, proposition development, governance reporting, and stakeholder management. The role requires expertise in strategic asset allocation, investment markets, fund management, operating models, fund structures, asset classes, policyholder governance, and relevant legal, tax, and regulatory environments.

Leads financial risk reporting, regulatory and external disclosures, governance processes, committee coordination, controls oversight, and continuous improvement. Coordinates Finance, Risk, Legal, Company Secretariat, and business stakeholders to produce accurate, decision-ready materials for boards, regulators, investors, and senior leaders. Supports planning, resource allocation, operational management, and constructive challenge across a complex life insurance organisation.

Manage asset-liability management for 22 with-profits funds holding £36 billion in assets. Monitor fund risk profiles, recommend and implement hedging and other actions, present recommendations to senior leaders, challenge finance reporting inputs, collaborate with asset management, support projects, improve processes, and mentor team members. Requires a qualified or part-qualified actuary with relevant post-qualification experience and knowledge of with-profits balance sheets, capital requirements, assets, and hedging.
