Manage a large annuity-backed investment-grade credit portfolio across global fixed-income markets. Own portfolio construction, investment decisions, risk management, trading execution, and portfolio optimization across GBP, EUR, and USD markets. The role also involves partnering with internal teams and suppliers, applying reliability metrics, enabling AI-assisted engineering practices, and coaching engineers in automation and modern delivery practices.

Build, maintain, enhance, and document annuity cashflow and pricing models for retirement and asset management analytics. Develop services and reporting tools using AWS, Python, Rust, Beacon, and Snowflake; contribute to modelling methodologies; monitor platform performance; resolve reliability issues; and support business applications including valuation, reinsurance, structuring, longevity analysis, and Solvency II capital management.

Leads organisation design and governance across the Group, shaping structures, operating models, accountabilities, spans and layers to support business strategy and workforce transformation. Partners with HR leaders, executives and transformation teams on major change, restructures, mergers, acquisitions and integrations. Develops governance frameworks and delivers organisational effectiveness improvements in complex environments.

Build and maintain relationships with pension trustees and advisers, retain existing assets, identify revenue opportunities, and broaden client relationships across Standard Life. Develop client plans and engagement strategies, monitor market changes and relationship risks, support new business, and deliver member engagement initiatives. The role requires strong communication, commercial focus, knowledge of defined contribution pensions, and effective stakeholder management.

Leads Group Internal Audit activities across customer, operations, and outsourced service providers. Manages and develops audit teams, oversees audit portfolio quality and delivery, verifies management actions, evaluates risks and controls, and provides strategic assurance to senior stakeholders and governance committees. Builds relationships, communicates complex findings, supports risk-based audit planning, and helps the organization respond effectively to regulatory, operational, and strategic change.

Manage end-to-end onboarding of derivative trading counterparties, coordinating KYC, legal documentation, collateral agreements, regulatory requirements, and system configurations. Partner with Front Office, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Middle and Back Office teams, custodians, brokers, and external counterparties. Maintain accurate agreement and portfolio data across Aladdin and related platforms, support margin and EMIR reporting requirements, prioritize requests, resolve issues, and escalate risks appropriately.
