Architects scalable systems-of-systems solutions, establishes technical standards, mentors engineers, and leads projects with 10 or more contributors. Responsibilities include debugging, optimization, agile development, continuous integration, test-driven development, task decomposition, and collaboration across teams.

Deploys, integrates, maintains, and develops AI training factory components in isolated environments. Responsibilities include integrating tooling onto hardware, managing software updates and configuration across environments, ensuring platform reliability, coordinating with autonomy teams, troubleshooting distributed systems, and developing automation. The role requires cloud, Kubernetes, Linux networking, C++ or Python application support, and onsite availability in London.

Leads engineering teams developing and deploying autonomy solutions for unmanned weapon systems. Owns system architecture, technical objectives, engineering decisions, risk mitigation, product quality, technical requirements, system documentation, and software delivery. Provides technical oversight for internal R&D and defense contracts, supports customer-facing engineering leadership, contributes to government proposals, and manages teams of 6–20 engineers.

Provide technical expertise to customers deploying and integrating Shield AI's Hivemind autonomy software. Develop autonomy applications, deploy AI infrastructure at customer sites, train and support customers, debug API integrations, collaborate with product/engineering, create documentation and training materials, and assist sales. Travel to customer sites (~30%).

Lead full sales lifecycle for Hivemind in the UK defense and government sector: generate pipeline, develop capture strategies, shape and close complex opportunities, lead proposal development, manage stakeholder relationships, partner with Product and Engineering, represent Shield AI externally, and maintain rigorous deal discipline and CRM hygiene.

Lead government affairs and public policy for the UK, Nordics, and Benelux. Build and manage relationships with defence and regulatory stakeholders, monitor policy and procurement, advise senior leaders, support market-entry and capture efforts, prepare briefings and position papers, and coordinate public consultations, trade association engagement, and risk management related to export controls and defence procurement.

Lead simulation-driven testing and automation for Hivemind autonomy software: develop automated regression/integration/system tests, build simulation-based test frameworks (SIL/HIL/VIL), create Python tools for test automation and data analysis, integrate testing into CI/CD, and collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and fix issues while maintaining test documentation and metrics.

Integrate and deploy autonomy software onto unmanned aircraft, prepare flight-ready systems, support on-site flight tests, debug hardware/software, capture and analyze flight data, collaborate with autonomy/GNC/test teams, and support certification and continuous improvement for reliable autonomous operations.

Lead and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers to execute customer onboarding, on-site deployments, troubleshooting, and sustained adoption of the Hivemind SDK. Drive field feedback into product, translate mission goals into technical milestones, and partner with engineering and product teams to improve deployment readiness and customer outcomes.

Design and implement real-time object detection, classification, multi-target tracking, and sensor-fused state estimation for airborne platforms. Integrate EO/IR, radar, IMU/GPS data, optimize perception pipelines for SWaP-constrained systems, validate in simulation and flight tests, and collaborate with autonomy, hardware, and integration teams.

Integrate autonomy software onto unmanned aircraft, prepare flight-ready systems, support on-site flight tests, debug hardware/software issues, capture and analyze flight data, collaborate with autonomy/GNC/systems teams, and support certification and continuous improvement for mission deployments.

Lead system architecture and technical teams to integrate Hivemind autonomy across Group 2–5 UAS. Define technical objectives, manage requirements and ICDs, ensure high-reliability software delivery for IRAD and defense contracts, provide customer-facing leadership, and contribute to government proposals.
