Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and improving application software using Agile methodologies. The role includes developing new features, resolving complex issues, creating automated tests, supporting deployments and production monitoring, documenting changes, participating in planning and refinement, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers. The engineer will collaborate with QA, support, IT management, delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders while adhering to technical standards and considering performance and security requirements.

Supports the Head of Controls and Controls Testing Team by using data analytics to assess, monitor, and strengthen bank-wide internal controls. Performs control testing, identifies design and operational gaps, supports RCSA and risk decisions, reduces duplication and manual effort, and explores systemisation and AI integration. The role also develops repeatable data-driven insights, normalises data, assesses variances, and communicates improvement opportunities to stakeholders.

Supports the Head of Controls and Controls Testing Team by managing risk and control issues, reviewing closure evidence, prioritizing issues, supporting RCSA and control testing, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying thematic improvements. The role also enhances risk processes through systemization, reduced manual effort, and potential AI integration while providing structured reporting and stakeholder challenge across the bank.
