Leads performance assurance across large-scale government digital services. Owns performance strategies, requirements, risk assessments, load and resilience testing, production-readiness recommendations, and CI/CD integration. Manages performance engineers, plans and allocates workload, engages senior stakeholders, and leads root-cause analysis. The role also improves assurance practices through automation, tooling, and AI-assisted analysis while operating within governed and regulated environments.

Designs and maintains UI and API automation frameworks for government digital services. Develops automated tests using Java, JavaScript, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured and Postman; integrates testing into CI/CD pipelines; manages defects; supports UAT and end-to-end validation; and produces quality reports. The role collaborates within Agile teams, aligns testing with GOV.UK and DDaT standards, validates security, accessibility and performance requirements, and mentors junior testers.

Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, backlog, and outcomes of a UK public-sector digital service. Lead multidisciplinary teams through discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases while meeting GDS Service Standards. Prioritize user needs, manage senior stakeholders, track performance, ensure accessibility and security, support service assessments, and coach other product professionals.
