Interim finance leader responsible for financial control, month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, audit, tax and regulatory compliance, treasury, cash flow, payments, payroll, and finance systems. The role also owns NetSuite, automation and AI transformation, control design, adviser relationships, and leadership development during a high-growth business transition.

Leads Motorway’s Dealer Solutions division across vehicle transport, payments, and dealer finance. Owns strategy, P&L, investment cases, operational performance, partner networks, and commercial growth. Builds scalable services, improves customer experience and margins, and leads specialist teams while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, Engineering, and external partners. The role reports to the COO and sits on the senior leadership team.

Owns company-wide financial control, statutory and tax compliance, treasury, finance operations, audit relationships, finance systems, and payment cycles. Leads month-end and year-end close, IFRS reporting, controls, cash forecasting, NetSuite ownership, automation initiatives, and finance team development. Partners with executives, auditors, advisers, HMRC, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations to support scalable growth and transaction readiness.

Lead the design and implementation of complex Android features, develop Server-Driven UI capabilities, and maintain mobile infrastructure including CI/CD, deployment workflows, and automated UI testing. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-scale mobile applications, champion engineering best practices, analyze user experiences, and support rapid feature delivery.

Lead frontend engineering across cross-functional squads, ship accessible and performant product features, own API contracts and technical roadmaps, drive frontend standards and migrations, and establish security, quality, reliability, build, and deployment practices. Develop engineers into technical leaders, influence product strategy, and define standards for AI-assisted frontend development. The role requires deep TypeScript, React, Next.js, CSS, testing, performance, and production-scale web application expertise.

Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across endpoint, email, identity, and cloud environments. Support incident response, vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and security improvement activities. Analyze logs and indicators of compromise, document investigations, maintain runbooks, and collaborate with Security, IT, Engineering, and Cloud teams. Independently manage routine investigations and escalate complex incidents appropriately.

Leads product design across complex web and mobile experiences, from discovery through delivery. Owns user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, accessibility, research, usability testing, and data-informed decisions. Partners with product, engineering, and analytics, mentors designers, advances AI-enabled design practices, runs workshops, and helps shape design culture, principles, and product strategy.

Own and evolve AWS environments and shared platform infrastructure, building self-service developer tooling, infrastructure automation, observability, monitoring, alerting, and continuous delivery capabilities. Improve reliability, scalability, deployment safety, and developer experience while reducing operational toil. Respond to production incidents through an on-call rotation, mentor engineers, and establish secure, standardized platform practices across product teams.

Own compensation, equity, and commission programs across Motorway. Responsibilities include market pricing, pay benchmarking, salary-band development, merit cycles, gender pay gap reporting, HRIS accuracy, compensation dashboards, equity plan analysis and administration, and commission-plan audits. The role partners closely with People, Finance, senior leadership, and business stakeholders while using AI tools to analyze data, build recommendations, and improve rewards processes.

Lead the architecture and technical standards for production GenAI systems, including retrieval, evaluation, data pipelines, agentic workflows, reliability, cost, and latency. Build the most complex components, approve high-risk AI systems, establish shared engineering foundations, and mentor senior engineers. The role partners with engineering and product leadership, influences hiring and reviews, and translates emerging industry developments into practical architecture decisions.

Develop and maintain JavaScript backend features, optimize platform performance and caching, build reliable reusable code, work with AWS infrastructure, and collaborate with product and design teams. Contribute to technical strategy, testing, code reviews, monitoring, and alerting within an agile development environment.
