The role requires cross-team collaboration, clear technical communication, and commuting to London two days per week.

Develop high-performance, low-latency real-time video and AI processing pipelines for medical devices used in operating rooms. Responsibilities include hardware-accelerated video capture, processing, inference, visualization, streaming, parallel processing, software design, optimization, debugging, code reviews, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable embedded systems.

Develop and maintain a Python-based SaaS platform for project, data, and annotation management. Collaborate with data and platform engineers to build efficient data-handling processes and work with stakeholders to define and validate software features. The role supports machine learning and data science teams developing connected surgical technology, using production software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and iterative development methods.

Lead backend and systems engineering from design through production for connected, embedded, edge-computing healthcare products. Design distributed systems, write primarily Python, improve testability and reliability, mentor engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and produce clear technical documentation.
