Develops business intelligence and analytics solutions supporting underwriting, claims, and operations. Responsibilities include building Power BI dashboards, data models, SQL views, semantic layers, automated reporting, Databricks notebooks, data pipelines, and cloud analytics capabilities. The role also evaluates AI-enabled analytics use cases, improves self-service insight, governs reporting environments, and partners with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Supports Global Reserving through quarterly reserve analysis, reporting, reserve reviews, adequacy and embedded margin analysis, transformation initiatives, process improvement, and development of scalable actuarial tools. The role uses actuarial and data technologies to improve reserving workflows, visualization, data quality, and automation. It also communicates findings to actuarial, finance, claims, underwriting, and executive stakeholders while supporting audits, IBNR uploads, and cross-functional initiatives.

Deliver catastrophe modeling, exposure management, and portfolio analytics across Markel International. Support underwriting decisions through pre-underwriting analysis, risk reporting, aggregation management, and ad hoc insights. Build relationships with underwriters and senior stakeholders, present analytical findings, collaborate with global teams and model vendors, and contribute to portfolio analytics projects and regulatory reporting for Lloyd’s and the PRA.
