Support delivery of DB data true-ups and in-force business tasks including scheme valuations and individual member calculations. Produce internal sign-off documentation and draft client deliverables, develop knowledge of team systems and drive projects while promoting collaboration and efficiency.

Support group financial reporting and technical accounting across multi-GAAP frameworks (IFRS, Solvency II). Advise on complex transactions, product accounting, investments, leases, impairments and provisions. Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Risk and other teams to implement accounting changes, enhance reporting controls, and ensure accurate compliant disclosures.

Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge of investment strategy, portfolio construction and new asset initiatives for a UK retirement income insurer. Assess and monitor investment risks across credit, market, liquidity, capital, valuation and operational dimensions; review methodologies, limits and stress testing; prepare risk opinions and governance papers; escalate material concerns and oversee distressed asset/workout activity.
