Supports IT operations in a regulated banking environment, managing application incidents, changes, monitoring, backups, end-of-day processing, reporting, integrations, upgrades, and supplier relationships. Develops business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, and financial reports while troubleshooting application, database, middleware, infrastructure, and cloud issues. The role also drives automation, monitoring, root-cause remediation, IT controls, and disaster recovery testing.

Supports the Head of Internal Audit by planning and delivering risk-based audits across the bank. Evaluates governance, risk management, controls, regulatory compliance, and remediation effectiveness. Prepares evidence-based findings and reports, validates corrective actions, maintains issue tracking, and provides independent challenge. The role requires stakeholder collaboration, strong analytical judgment, and familiarity with UK banking regulation, including PRA and FCA requirements.

Investigates escalated sanctions, AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, fraud, and financial crime alerts. Conducts customer due diligence, PEP and adverse media reviews, assesses reporting obligations, responds to regulators and law enforcement, and advises stakeholders. Supports financial crime framework enhancements, control effectiveness assessments, regulatory reporting, management information, and emerging risk analysis while providing subject matter expertise and constructive challenge.
