Own the day-to-day performance of a Howdens depot, including profit and loss, sales growth, customer relationships, team recruitment and development, account management, customer service, and operational standards. The role requires a hands-on commercial leader who can motivate employees, drive sales and margin, manage performance against KPIs, and build strong local trade relationships.

Supports the Depot Manager with daily depot operations, team leadership, sales growth, customer relationships, warehouse and stock oversight, performance improvement, product promotion, and health and safety. The role also deputises for the Depot Manager and develops team capability while maintaining strong relationships with local trade customers.

Develops local depot business by calling existing and prospective trade customers, building relationships, identifying sales opportunities, managing targeted customer lists, and achieving call activity targets. Arranges customer surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers, promotes products and events, supports invoicing and depot administration, and collaborates with the wider team to meet sales and service goals.
