Provides reception and optical assistance in an independent practice. Responsibilities include booking appointments, advising patients on frames and lenses, supporting fittings and adjustments, managing aftercare, assisting with complex prescriptions, maintaining displays and equipment, and delivering a friendly patient experience. The role also involves day-to-day administrative duties and collaboration with the wider practice team. Previous optical experience is not required.

Provides front-of-house reception and administrative support in an optician practice, including greeting patients, handling calls, scheduling appointments, and managing daily administration. Conducts preliminary diagnostic imaging and automated pre-screening tests, performs minor frame repairs and adjustments, and supports dispensing during busy periods after training. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, customer-facing or administrative experience, and Saturday flexibility.

Provides patient-focused optical support, including frame styling, lens selection, fittings, adjustments, aftercare, and advice tailored to visual and lifestyle needs. The role also involves supporting complex prescriptions, maintaining displays and equipment, assisting with daily practice tasks, and serving as a friendly contact for patients and colleagues. Previous optical experience is not required, and the schedule is Monday to Friday with an occasional Saturday.
