Dispense frames and complex lenses, including bifocals and varifocals; provide frame styling, pre-screening, fittings, and adjustments; manage patient appointments and queries; and support smooth practice operations alongside optometrists. The role emphasizes personalized patient care, precision, organization, and confident communication in an optometry practice. Saturday work is required, with no Sunday or bank holiday shifts.

Provide patient-focused optical support, including frame styling, lens selection, fittings, adjustments, aftercare, and advice tailored to visual and lifestyle needs. Assist with complex prescriptions alongside the wider team, maintain displays and equipment, and support daily practice operations. Build trust through honest recommendations, deliver a smooth patient experience, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Saturday work is required.

Provides specialist glaucoma care and comprehensive optometric examinations, including diagnostic testing, risk assessment, progression monitoring, treatment planning, referrals, and patient education. Maintains clinical records, collaborates with ophthalmologists and practice staff, participates in audits and quality improvement, and supports clinical teaching. Requires GOC registration, independent prescribing, glaucoma qualifications, and practical glaucoma-care experience.
