Teams at Foundational

Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, alerting, secure remote access, and software updates for remote satellite stations. Lead incident response and post-incident reviews while strengthening security and supporting security certifications. The role requires DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience, strong Linux and networking fundamentals, and major cloud provider expertise.

Design opto-mechanical mounts, benches, enclosures, alignment fixtures, and procedures for autonomous satellite laser ranging stations. Perform thermal and structural FEA, develop tolerances, design for manufacturing and field servicing, and collaborate with workshops and suppliers from drawings through finished parts. The role is on-site in London and may involve telescope hardware, environmental testing, weather sealing, and space or defense programs.

Manage grant and tender bids from funding-call tracking through submission, including timelines, contributors, reviews, non-technical writing, budgets, consortium paperwork, and post-award reporting. The role supports applications to ESA, the UK Space Agency, Innovate UK, the European Innovation Council, and other public-sector funders.
