Leads the FCA’s supervisory strategy for Consolidated Tapes, addressing complex regulatory issues and emerging risks across UK financial markets. The role involves collaborating with legal, policy, authorisations, market oversight and trading venue teams; making evidence-based judgments; analyzing market data; representing the organization externally; and supporting team development and resource management.

Leads the FCA’s Agentic AI and Data Science Research function, setting AI strategy, governance, research ethics, data science standards, and long-term capability roadmaps. The role directs horizon scanning, responsible AI adoption, model assurance, and advanced analytics initiatives supporting regulation, financial crime reduction, and organisational effectiveness. It provides senior technical advice, leads multidisciplinary teams, develops talent, and influences executive, board, regulatory, and technology stakeholders.

Leads supervision of high-risk money remittance firms, conducting complex regulatory assessments, investigations, and casework. Evaluates governance, controls, and financial crime risks; challenges poor practices; briefs senior decision-makers; and drives regulatory improvements. Manages complex priorities, collaborates with FCA teams and external partners, and supports financial crime prevention. Coaches colleagues, provides technical oversight, and deputises for the Team Manager in senior forums.
