Provides technical and process engineering support to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include process optimization, deviation investigations, root cause analysis, process safety management, audit support, technical documentation, capital project support, plant trials, change management, and coaching colleagues. Requires a Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent technical discipline, with regulated manufacturing, GMP, process safety, COMAH, DSEAR, and chartership experience preferred.

Designs and governs SAP architecture for global logistics processes, including warehouse, inventory, transportation, returns, reverse logistics, GTS, and logistics service provider integrations. Partners with stakeholders, implementation partners, and support providers to develop, configure, document, deploy, and improve solutions. Provides user training, testing assistance, production support, and system enhancements while ensuring global architecture and regional compliance. The role also manages competing projects and travels to sites for implementations and system adoption.

Supports hands-on upstream process development from laboratory experimentation through scale-up and commercialization. Responsibilities include fermentation and cell culture experiments, process optimization, equipment calibration, media and buffer preparation, sampling, documentation, inventory control, and compliance with CMC, GxP, safety, and quality requirements. The role also supports equipment and capital projects, facility readiness, technical reporting, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, and training colleagues.

Provide technical leadership for Process Safety Management at Elanco’s Speke manufacturing site. Ensure compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX, pressure safety regulations, and industry standards; lead hazard reviews, risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, regulatory engagement, and improvement planning. Develop organizational capability through coaching and technical direction, support new product introduction and ongoing operations, and collaborate with senior leadership, regulators, emergency response teams, and other manufacturing sites.

As an Engineer, you will implement and support Manufacturing Execution Systems, optimize processes, provide technical support, and ensure compliance in manufacturing environments.

Develop and execute global CMC regulatory strategies for veterinary biologicals and vaccines. Lead submissions and post-approval change activities, author CMC documentation, monitor regulatory requirements, and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to enable market expansions and ensure global compliance.

Lead HR for a unionized, blue-collar manufacturing site: align site with global HR policies, manage union relationships and negotiations, transition HR services to global centers, support ADP-to-Workday migration, drive multiskilling and workforce cost efficiencies while maintaining engagement and productivity.

Own end-to-end ERP AMS operations for SAP, ensuring vendor performance, operational stability, GxP compliance, incident/change/release governance, automation, stakeholder reporting, and establishing a scalable ERP "Run" playbook.

Lead site supply chain strategy and operations including master scheduling, raw material planning, warehousing, and S&OP. Ensure OTIF delivery, SAP-driven planning, product launches, technology transfers, sourcing, and third-party logistics. Drive continuous improvement, champion Lean/ELOS, and develop a high-performing supply chain team in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Provide global technical leadership for instrumentation and calibration across Elanco manufacturing sites. Develop harmonized calibration standards and SAP PM governance, conduct audits for regulatory compliance, troubleshoot complex instrument failures, lead root cause analyses and CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement and modernization of calibration programs. Travel ~30% for site support and audits.

Provide technical leadership and consultation across Elanco's Small Molecule Network to optimize manufacturing equipment and processes, lead capital and technology evaluations, govern vendor relationships, mentor engineers, and troubleshoot complex issues for liquid and solid dosage form production across Europe and APAC.

Lead QC operational excellence across the global laboratory network by implementing process improvements, capacity and scheduling models, training on lean methodologies, optimizing testing strategy and KPIs, and driving cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure sustainable laboratory performance.
