Build and maintain Kafka Connect services and streaming data pipelines for Depop’s data platform. Extend the bronze streaming layer, implement data contracts and freshness checks, develop quarantine and alerting systems, support event onboarding and troubleshooting, document technical decisions, and collaborate with senior engineers and teams across data infrastructure, ML, and insights.

Lead the research, design, productionization, and scaling of machine learning models for pricing and shipping optimization. Own high-impact projects, conduct rigorous experiments, apply causal inference and optimization techniques, collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, communicate findings, and mentor junior team members.

Build, maintain, scale, and improve Depop’s search and recommendation systems serving over one million daily users. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, mobile, web, and backend engineers to design solutions, write high-quality code, manage workflows and data throughout their lifecycle, and document features. The role includes working with distributed systems, retrieval technologies, databases, message queues, ML-driven systems, testing, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement processes.
