Build and operate scalable developer tooling, measure outcomes through surveys and delivery metrics, drive standards and migrations across teams, mentor engineers, build community, and participate in on-call support.

Lead a small senior engineering team building DeepL’s real-time voice products for meetings. Own hiring, performance, career development, architecture, technical direction, and end-to-end feature delivery from design through production. Collaborate closely with product and applied science teams, balancing latency, model quality, reliability, and delivery timelines. Remain hands-on enough to evaluate code and architecture, manage technical risks, and foster a high-agency engineering culture.

Design, build, and operate DeepL’s Databricks-based lakehouse and ingestion infrastructure (Kafka, dlt). Enable AI-powered data workflows via connectors and integrations, implement data observability and quality frameworks, and steward infra-as-code, CI/CD, access, security, and governance to provide a reliable, scalable data platform.

Lead research and engineering to design, implement, and deploy reinforcement learning and post-training methods that align large (multi-modal) models with human intent. Build scalable RL pipelines, run reproducible experiments from prototype to production, collaborate with engineering, ML platform, and HPC teams, and foster academic and industrial partnerships.

Own and build DeepL's account-based GTM systems: design automated workflows linking marketing, SDR, and sales; activate signals into account actions; maintain CRM and data integrations; build reporting tying engagement to pipeline; implement AI-agent driven account research, personalization, and routing.

Convert high-intent inbound leads into qualified pipeline by rapidly responding, prioritising and nurturing prospects, qualifying opportunities, owning event follow-up, maintaining CRM records, collaborating with German stakeholders, and meeting monthly pipeline targets.

Own and scale DeepL's global paid social and paid search programs (LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, X, Google, Bing). Manage channel budgets, run structured A/B tests, build measurement frameworks, partner with ABM and cross-functional teams, optimize campaigns for CAC/pipeline/ARR, and mentor junior team members while piloting new ad formats and AI-driven automation.
